Thanksgiving Project life spread 2014

This is the last Layout I created for Project life and I really loved how it turned out! I don't pre-plan my project life spreads so its always so cool to watch them organically come together. I decided to have an insert for this spread because I had extra picture for the month of November which is why I posted the photo above first which is the layout with the insert and the bottom is without the insert. If you wanna see how I created this layout be sure to checkout my YouTube channel which is linked on the side bar or by clicking on the word Youtube < here.
This is my insert page and I think it turned out really nice considering it was my first time adding an insert. I was scared at first the insert would stand out to much but in the end it really looked cohesive with my layout. I created a shaker card pocket by sewing a pocket closed ( with sequin) and added a cork 3x4 card over the top of it. For the journaling card I just whipped out my type writer and left that card quite simple because I didn't feel it needed anything else. The bottom card is quite simple so with a very small cluster of alpha stickers, star paper clip and studio calico masking tape. Below this picture this insert is the other side of the insert.
If you enjoy my layouts then be sure to checkout my Youtube Channel , Instagram and Facebook Page for more exclusive content! Thanks!!!!

" Take Ten " September Sneak Peak

Hey Crafty Peeps!
If  your subscribed to my YouTube channel then you know I'm on "The Studio 29" design team! I'm so excited to share with you guys the sneak peek of their September Kit. I have always loved these kits even before I was on the design team and I know you guys will because you can't beat the quality and price of this amazing kit.
I love this whole kit but at most of you know my craft addiction of choice is stamps and art supplies so I decided to combine them! If you guys decide to subscribe to this kit then you will get this super cute photo polymer stamp set (which I'm currently obsessing over).

To create the same look I did your gonna need similar items shown in this photo but you could easily substitute the masking take with washi tape or the distress inks with watercolors, color mists etc. I used what I had in my stash so I encourage you to do the same but the one item that you will need is the stamp set itself. For a step by step tutorial be sure to checkout my YouTube channel.

Labor Day challenge!

Hey Crafty Peeps!
I thought in honor of Labor Day I would join in on the challenge over at http://butterflyreflectionsink.blogspot.com/! If you haven't checked out there blog or there store yet then you need to pop on by because they have fun challenges and the store owner Vanessa is so nice! I decide for this challenge I would create a custom project life card with a fall theme since fall is my favorite time of year! I'm really inspired by nature and tree's which pretty much sums up fall for me.
The challenge mood board inspired me to pull out my water color palette since the feathers have that typical water color look to them. and the tree photo as well as the board walk with flip flops inspired me to add some wood grain type design elements!
I water colored the leaves on this card and used various sizes to add dimension and balance. I also went ahead and painted the script in the circle ( That is my own handwriting not a stamp) and I really love that quote. I used a light pink distress ink on the edges of the circles to add a small pop of color. The wood grain background is a Hero arts stamp which I stamped in archival brown ink and I sponged the edges of the card. I love the way this card turned out and cannot wait to use it in my project life album! Hope you guys like ( Now I'm off to drink a spice pumpkin latte).

New Project Life Page

Hey Crafty Peeps,
I'm back to share another Project life page with you guys! I'm really trying to get better at posting on my blog but sometimes I just get caught up with my Vlogging/Craft videos. I hope you all had a great fourth of July with your family and friends! I actually didn't do much this fourth of July other then just some grilling with my bf but I'm just grateful we get anytime together after being long distance for more then a year. I'm so happy, I finally finished this page because since I had to stop a little more then half way through because of my move, it seemed like it was taking forever to get finished. For those of you who mainly just stick to my Blog you should go checkout the giveaway video I posted a few weeks ago on my YouTube channel because you get more then one entry if you also follow my Blog. I'm constantly playing catch-up on my Project life album but I've accepted that since I've been more of ( when-ever I feel like) Project lifer but I do hope to be able to it monthly at some point without getting behind. I don't really stress getting behind on pages because to me that defeats the purpose of why I do project life in the first place ( It's my relax/zen time).

I actually used my homemade enamel dots for the first time! I personally think they look great and you really can't even tell they were homemade. What do you guys think?
I love adding little touches of stitching to my pages! I think PL is all about small details to bring your own unique style to your spreads, just like you would with a scrapbook page.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my page and if you have any questions or just feeling like popping by to say "hi" feel free to do so in the comments because I loved to hear from you!

Project Life pages for 2014

Hey Crafty Peeps,
Soo technically this pages are 2013 but I'm finishing them in 2014 ( I think this is commonly referred to as Procraftination ) but at least I'm finally getting around to it. For anyone wondering "Procraftination" is currently listed in the Urban Dictionary so I must not be the only one? right. I posted my process video for this page on my YouTube channel "Starsinpalm" so go check that out if your more of a visual leaner like moi. For those of you who came to my blog via my Youtube " High Five"  ( Borat Voice) and welcome to the mad rambling of a craft addict LOL. Below you will find a portal to Narnia or maybe just some really fun and creative project life photo's! If you guys enjoy my work I'd love to hear some feedback in the comments and feel free to ask questions as well.

I really try not to get glare on my project life photo layouts but it can be quite challenging! I hope in the future to purchase a scanner or just find a better quality light source for pictures. I seriously love how this page turned out and I "swoon" every time I read this Helen Keller quote, its been a favorite of mine for quite some time so I was tickled pink when I saw it in my Gossamer Blue Life Pages kit. I whipped out my old type writer for this page and made a million typo's but decided to leave it because I figured life's messy and imperfect but beautiful non the less.
I really just loved this photo and didn't wanna go over board with the embellishments because its already so beautiful to begin with. I used a really fun mini stamp set from Kelly Purkey with the perfect saying to describe this photo and created the mini vellum banner with my Lawn Fawn Stitched die. I just love to incorporate mixed media into all my paper crafts so I used some India Ink to create a water color effect on both banners. On the top right corner I used an Amy Tangerine stitching template to create texture and fill in blank space on the top of the photo using some Gold thread from my studio calico kit card kit but you can find similar threads at your local craft store (This Detail is seen better in first Photo).
Something I really enjoying doing is creating embellishments ahead of time that will possibly coordinate with my page. One way of doing this is knowing what colors are gonna end up on your page, for me this is quite easy since I tend to use the colors Pink, Yellow and teal in some way in all my pages! I created that stitched circle heart vellum embellishment that's right above that Freckled Fawn arrow paper clip which I went ahead and rubbed with some hot pink acrylic paint since I didn't have the exact color I needed. The Geo tag  sticker you see below came from a studio calico sticker sheet I had from one of there recent collections. I hope you guys are enjoying these project life posts and are feeling inspired!
Thanks so much for following along

Project Life 2013

Hello,
My Bloggy Peeps! I decided to share pictures of my recent project life page because I figured you guys would enjoy seeing them. If you follow my Youtube channel then you have  already seen my project life process video of this page but if not my channel link is on the side bar. I hope you guys enjoy these photos and please feel free to ask any questions you may have!

I love me some Freckled Fawn! The vellum tag you see here, I made with my  Kelly Purkey Label die and stamped on it with the coordinating stamp set.
On this card I created some fun embellishments by stamping on a tag and die cutting some cork and paper hearts. I wanted to create a cluster up in the top left corner and I personally love how it turned out. If you guys enjoy these post please be sure to leave me some love in the comments and checkout my YouTube Channel Starsinpalm.http://youtu.be/tixQjqboBgE
